BELIEFS
Although we would not be considered a Baptist Church, our basic beliefs are summarized in the Baptist Faith and Message statement.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith, that justification is without the deeds or the law, that those who profess the name of Christ should grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, and for correction. We believe the Bible should be interpreted literally unless the context indicates otherwise. We believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis 1-11, the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation.
We are pre-millennial and believe in the imminent return of Christ for the church.
We believe and practice the priesthood of the believer and that each one has equal access to the throne of God. We believe in addition that the father is the priest of the home and is responsible for the spiritual growth and well-being of his family.
We believe in plural leadership of the local church by elders raised up by the Holy Spirit for that purpose.
We practice believer's baptism and believe that, while baptism does not regenerate or save, it is a demonstration of faith in Christ and public identification with Him.
We partake of the Lord's Supper each Sunday, believing that we should remember Him and what He has done for us each time we gather.
