OUR MISSION
Loving God. Loving People. Making Disciples.
The Asheville Church is a growing congregation of disciples who have committed their lives to following Jesus. We are a small group of ordinary men and women who seek to answer the extraordinary calling to be "fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19) while living upright and holy lives through Christ's example and the Spirit's power.
As part of the mission, we strive for diversity in our church by "making disciples of all nations" (Matt 28:19). Our church is comprised of people from a variety of backgrounds, ethnic groups, and walks of life who are united by the cross and our overwhelming need for God's grace.
Our purpose is to love one another deeply just as Jesus loved us (Jn 13:34-35). This is evidenced by the authentic relationships we have with one another - relationships that go beyond Sunday morning. We meet together often to enjoy fellowship, encourage one another, reach out to others, and share our lives through hospitality (Act 2:42-47).
Our hope is that in devoting our lives to serve God, each other, and our community, the Asheville Church may be a light to this beautiful city and its people (Matt 5:14-16). We pray that God will bless our efforts by using our ministry to spread the gospel and draw people into a saving relationship with Him.

BELIEFS
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is able to make us wise to salvation (2 Tim 3:15-17; Heb 4:12-13).
We are committed to loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves (Matt 22:37-40).
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, is the only way to the Father, and is the head of the church (Mark 1:1; John 14:6; Col 1:18).
We are saved only by the grace of God, not by works (Eph 2:8). Through faith in Jesus, repentance, and baptism into Christ, we accept the free gift of forgiveness and salvation that comes through Christ (Acts 2:38-39) our only mediator to God (1 Tim 2:5).
Our mission on earth is to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18-20) and to always remember the poor (Gal 2:10).
