Encounter Church Athens

Encounter Church is a place to connect in community & with God. Whether you're new to Christianity, have followed Jesus for years, or are just exploring spiritual questions, you'll feel welcome here. Join us as we seek and encounter God together. When you are here, you’ll find a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and a community of people encountering God together through worship, prayer, and a message from the Bible. Come early for coffee and some great conversations We start with families worshipping together at the beginning of the service. Then, after worship, children ages 3 - 5th grade can go with leaders to experience a short lesson in God’s Word followed by a time to play together. In general, we believe what the Church has always held to throughout its history. We desire unity on those “big” things, want grace on the “secondary” things, while always being marked by love for fellow members of Christ’s family.
