I would like to tell you briefly what makes me different from most other pastors. Other than me having 7 children who help and serve the church by my side, most of my experience has always been working with people outside of Sunday morning weekend goers. I am best known for understanding and relating to everyone because I’ve experienced and been where they are. Yet, I did it with Christ’s light shining through me the entire time. I’ve been told people like listening to me speak because I speak from the heart out of experience. I’ve worked beside the rough of the rough and yet always preached the word and didn’t fall into Satan’s deceptions of this world. I have lived it and understand them genuinely. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not perfect. I am just a man who strives to be perfect like Christ, and falls short often if not daily, and prays for honest repentance every time I do, as we all should. I speak from the spirit of my Father. When I speak, I truly believe it is God’s spirit working through me and I pray people can see and feel the true honesty coming from God through my words. I don’t speak the “do as I say not as I do” type of sermons. In short....I can relate! Lastly, as my family and myself have been praying, “God, if it be your will.... allow us to use our gifts and love for people and your son to help benefit your kingdom!” We always felt God has plans for us and we know now that it is at OBCC.
