Five years ago, I was hurt, broken, discouraged, and ready to walk away from God. I had just experienced a HUGE hurt, having been asked to leave my previous church, because the pastor there did not like one of my friends. He gave me an ultimatum. Give up my friend, or leave the church. After seeking Godly council, from two other pastors, who did not know me, I left. But I was VERY hurt, because I felt betrayed. Betrayed by this pastor and by God. On top of the betrayal by my former pastor, my husband of 4 years had walked out. And his reason? My former pastor and how he treated him. He felt that the church had betrayed him as well. So I had lost my church home and my husband all at once. I wondered where God was in the midst of this storm! Then I was invited to come to Palm Coast Bible Church. Just walking in the door, I felt safe. I felt comforted, and welcomed. People were friendly, but not fake friendly.It was warm and genuine. I sat there for almost 6 months, and people would just come up and greet me, hug me, and make me feel like I was SAFE from all the hurt I was feeling. Slowly I started making friends. I volunteered I joined into their community outreaches, of which there are many! I got involved. Now five years later, I serve in the soundbooth for the Praise and Worship team, I just started a Praise dance ministry, I also got married again last year to a man of God whose brother attends our church. I lost over 100 pounds, my health is amazing, my marriage is a blessing, and I am focused on serving God. All because Palm Coast Bible Church is a "Safe place for new beginnings" and they champion a small church in a big way.
