St. Bartholomew's is the oldest church in the St. Petersburg area. I have attended St. Bart's since 2004. During that time I have had more than abundant opportunity to grow and serve. My husband and I were married there as part of a regular Sunday service. It was wonderful as our christian family was with us to support us then as they do now. St. Bart's has dedicated much of our physical and personal resources to reach out to the community. We are home to an independent preschool and daycare which benefits lower income families. We have also dedicated our parish hall to a thrift shop and food pantry. Though the congregation is small we are an earnest family of faith and welcome all who care to grow and learn. Our Priest, Fr. Bill Burkett and his assisting priests, Fr. John Kivuva and Fr. Al Montalto, and deacon, Lu Watkins, are most knowledgeable and dedicated to their calling. We have an excellent choir director/organist and a excellent Altar and Flower guild plus Lay Eucharist Ministers and Lay Eucharistic Visitors. There are many opportunities to love and serve the Lord for special activities and as volunteers. Please visit our website (stbarts.dioswfl.org) where there are videos and pictures plus a history to further describe our church to you. Please come visit us some Sunday; we have a "Friendship Sunday" light repast the first Sunday of each month.
