Full Gospel
A group of independent ministers, ministries and churches joined together in 1962 for the purpose of fellowshipping with those of like faith and to promote apostolic, Pentecostal ministry. The need for a fellowship arose out of the powerful healing revivals of the 1940s as many pastors, teachers, evangelists, missionaries, and churches who had left their denominations needed the support of like minded believers. Certain core beliefs formed the basis for the fellowship such as the Bible as the inspired Word of God, the Trinity, the atoning death & resurrection of Jesus Christ, the need for personal salvation and sanctification, etc. The Fellowship strongly advocates the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Fellowship does not exercise any authority over individual churches or ministries but rather provides a framework for each.
