Meet The Pastor
Senior Pastor John P. Walker
Pastor John began his professional life working as a radio announcer and program director in Ontario, Canada. He came to faith in Christ through a radio outreach ministry of a local Brethren in Christ church in 1982. Soon after, he felt called to serve Jesus through full-time ministry. He and his wife, Bonnie, have been married for more than 40 years. They have two daughters living in the Philly area and are happy grandparents.
John has served as Senior Pastor in churches in Toronto, Canada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. He has also served in affiliated ministries doing communications work for disaster relief and as Director of Development in a mental health housing ministry in Harrisburg, PA. His volunteer ministry has included helping to lead the Waynesboro Area Celebrate Recovery ministry, recording audio books for Christian Blind Mission, International, and a ministry with skydivers and BASE jumpers, whom he calls "bikers with wings."
Dr. Bonnie Walker serves as the Fairview Worship Pastor as well as working with the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She also teaches classes in the Distance Learning Program at Fresno Pacific University. She and John have served together as pastoral couple for most of their married life together.
