BELIEFS
At Countryside Christian Church we desire to be unified in the non-negotiable (Salvation) areas of doctrine, while allowing for differing opinions in the negotiable (Non-salvation) areas. Jesus taught the world would know we belong to Him, when we love each other and are united in our beliefs. (John 13:35, 17:21-22)
Countryside is composed of people from many different backgrounds, but we still are able to function as a team. We are more interested in glorifying God than arguing over non-salvation issues. Part of our mantra is, “In matters of faith, unity; in matters of opinion, liberty; in all things, love.”
We believe the Bible is the supreme source of truth. We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and is coequal with the Father. We believe the Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son. We believe salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it by trusting in Jesus Christ.
