Our Mission

HARVEST, EQUIP, SEND
The Mission and Vision of Harvest Liberty Lake Church is to plant a church in the heart of Liberty Lake in order to reap a harvest of lost souls and build them up in Christ. We want to equip believers through our ministries to discover their spiritual gifts and how they can help build up the Church. Lastly, we want to raise up new ministry leaders and even church planters to be sent out to reach more people for the Kingdom of God.

About Harvest Liberty Lake Church

A NEW CHURCH, IN A NEW COMMUNITY, FOR NEW PEOPLE We are a brand new Church in the heart of one of Liberty Lake’s fastest-growing areas—The River District. We desire to be a Loving local community Church that blesses those who attend and those who live in the Liberty Lake Community around us. We are seeking to accomplish that in three ways: sharing the good news of the gospel, equipping believers to grow in their walk with Jesus, and sending out every Christian as workers to make an impact for God’s kingdom.

BELIEFS

Doctrinal Statement The Bible We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and is the only rule for faith and practice. God We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and that these three are coequal, coeternal and coessential. Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and rose again. We believe that he is ascended and is seated at the Father’s right hand where he now intercedes for all true believers. Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is come to convict the world of sin; that He comes to teach and guide believers into all truth; that He permanently indwells every true believer in Christ; that He wants to fill, control and empower each believer for service; that all who believe in Christ are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the church, the body of Christ. Mankind We believe that man was created in the image of God, but in Adam’s fall, every person is a sinner both by birth and by practice. We believe that every person must be born again in order to be forgiven of his sin and saved from eternal separation from God. Salvation We believe that salvation is by grace through faith apart from works and that every true believer will be kept saved forever by the power of God, and that this faith is personally to be in Christ’s substitutionary death on our behalf. God's Providence We believe God, from eternity, decrees or permits all things that come to pass. He perpetually upholds, directs and governs all creatures and all events, yet so as not in any way to be the author or approver of sin nor to destroy the free will and responsibility of intelligent creatures. God’s providence ensures that nothing happens by chance, but by the counsel of his own will, to the praise of the glory of his wisdom, grace, power, justice, infinite goodness, and mercy, and for the good of His people. Growth We believe that the privilege and responsibility of every Christian is to grow into spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Ordinances We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.Description goes here The Church We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. Sabbath and the Lord's Day The first day of the week is the Lord’s Day. It is a Christian institution for regular observance. It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and should include exercises of worship and spiritual devotion, both public and private. Activities on the Lord’s Day should be commensurate with the Christian’s conscience under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Last Things We believe that according to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever with God in the new heavens and new earth Christian Marriage We believe that Christian marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God for His glory and the well- being and propagation of humanity. God created and designed marriage to be a life-long covenant protecting the spiritual and physical union into which one man and one woman may enter. When lived biblically, it beautifully symbolizes the relationship of Christ to his Church. Because it is a sign of the covenant, sexual activity is reserved exclusively for the marriage relationship.
