Meet The Pastor
Lead Pastor JOHN LEONARD HARRIS, SR.
Pastor John Leonard Harris is the Founder and Lead Pastor for Encouragement Kingdom Outreach Fellowship based in Lincoln, Nebraska. He answered the call to ministry in 1993 and was ordained through the ministry of Christ Temple Mission Church where he would serve as the Associate and Senior Pastor for a combined ten years. Most recently, he served as the Interim Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Lincoln.
Prior to his pastorate, Pastor Harris served as Director of Church Relations at the People's City Mission and Coordinator of Men's Ministry for City Impact, Inc. His Biblical and practical preaching has touched the hearts of people in the states and has reached around the world to Africa and China.
Pastor Harris is the creator of the “Winning the Battle Within" and the “Empowering Men for the Kingdom” men's ministries. He also organizes worship concerts and youth rallies called “Reppin’ Jesus.
In 2002, Pastor Harris founded Encouragement Unlimited, Inc., a charitable nonprofit organization that serves as a resource to people from all walks of life.
His greatest ministry is to his wife, Charlene of 34 years and his four children (Preston, Shannon, JoAnna, and John Jr.) They have three grandchildren (Eli, Legend, Owen and Jacxyn).
