Meet The Pastor
Pastor Rev. Dr. Yolanda Denson-Byers
Rev. Dr. Yolanda Denson-Byers hails from St. Louis, MO where she was born and raised. She attended Wesleyan University (CT) where she double majored in Religion & African-American Studies. She went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University (MA) specializing in preaching/worship, Christian Education, and pastoral care and counseling. She rounded out her education with a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Seminary (MN) earning her degree in Congregational Mission and Leadership.
Pastor Yolanda has a heart for all people - regardless of any defining factor of identity. Here at FLC, we affirm, that "All are welcome, with no exceptions at all."
Last, but not least, Pastor Yolanda is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. In her free time, she loves to read, write, take walks, visit salt water beaches, and hang out with family and friends.
