About Hope Bible Church
“Doesn’t Seaford have enough churches?” you might ask. “What can one more church out of dozens possibly do?”
The answer to these questions is simple: be a Gospel witness to our community, bring hope to the lost, and bring encouragement and discipleship to the Lord’s sheep.
In Scripture, the Lord Jesus commissioned His apostles to “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20a).” Soon afterwards, these men preached the Gospel, the Lord saved many people, and the Church was born (Acts 2:14-40). The Church’s mission is to love the community by sharing the Gospel.
And this is our desire for Seaford. We desire to proclaim Christ to make disciples of Christ. We believe that the Father planned salvation, the Son accomplished it, and the Holy Spirit applies it. It is this hope that we desire to proclaim. This is why we are called Hope Bible Church.
Therefore, if you are looking for hope, a church where the Bible is authoritative, and a church where the Gospel is taught, this is the church for you. Your soul depends on it. Do not settle for anything less.

BELIEFS
1. Growing in Christ and His will through the Scriptures
We value instruction because we believe that one of the added benefits that comes with being a follower of Christ is learning what it means to follow Christ. In other words, the person is transformed and enters a new relationship with God and therefore must know God, His will, and His way. The means that God has provided for this is the Word of God—the Bible.
2. Reaching out into the world by proclaiming the Gospel
We value evangelism because we believe that the Lord called the church to be witnesses to the world of God’s good news—the Gospel. Namely, Christ came into the world to save sinners from the judgment to come. We believe that a person is saved by believing the Gospel. The church’s primary mission is making followers of Christ by making Christ known to all the world. This means proclaiming the Gospel first locally, then reverberated to all the world.
3. Actively engaging in Gospel ministry to edify the saints.
We believe and value each believer’s gift that is used to edify the church for it to grow into maturity and to fulfill the mission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
4. Connecting the church through fellowship and sharing.
We value fellowship because we believe that another added benefit to joining the church is the reality of a new identity amongst a gathering of other followers of Christ. This gathering of Christ followers is called the church—a new, living organism that loves Christ and each other. We believe we are unified to Christ and to each other and we value this unity. This is the significance of membership.
5. Exalting Christ to the glory of God through corporate worship.
We believe the chief end of the church is to worship God and enjoy Him forever. We value our purpose which is to glorify God in all that we do. We believe worship is not just expressed only through music, but in prayer, the preaching of the Word, obedience to the Word, singing, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, membership, the use of spiritual gifts, church discipline, and making disciples.
