Meet The Pastor
Bob Jernigan
I spent a career in Law Enforcement working as a Patrol Officer-Jail Deputy-Supervising Officer in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. I was assigned 9 tears to the Federal Law Enforcement Training center as a Firearms Instructor. Retired in 1999 moved to Tennessee where I worked for Sheriff's Department and for 10 years at the TN State Correctional Training Academy as an Instructor with a specialty in P.T. In 2008 I was called by God to serve Him in the Ministry and in 2010 received my first appointment at Harris Chapel in Estill TN. In 2015 I moved to Patterson GA (where I lived while working at FLETC) and accepted the Pastor appointment at St. Johns in Blackshear, I preach & teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While I have many educational achievements I do not have a Ministry degree from a Seminary but I do have Seminary training in the Course of Study. If you are seeking a small, loving community Church come check out St. Johns. We are very informal and accepting of others. We try to live by these words of Jesus; . Matthew 22:36-40 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
If you are seeking a place to Worship our loving, living God come on out to St. Johns Bob
