Meet The Pastor

Pastor Brother Bill Mullins
My name is Bill Mullins. I have been pastor of Fairview Baptist Church for two years now as of April 3, 2020.
I’m married to a beautiful woman, Kristal Mullins now for 14 years. We have four beautiful children.
God placed her and I at the right place at the right time and opened the door for her and I to unite as one in Holy Matrimony. She is precious in the sight of God but she is also precious to me and I’m eternally thankful the Lord placed her in my life.
We have three boys and one girl. Our kids are wonderful. They have big hearts who possess the gift of love for others. Our youngest son has autism and he keeps us moving. He’s full of energy and full of love.
God has been good to us and the least we can do is give Him all glory and honor that He’s deserving of.
My wife is a licensed mental health therapist. She works with children in the school system of a neighboring county. She’s a blessing to the children and families she works with.
I pastor a church full of believers who love the Lord! Praise God for that!
We are a relaxed church where we expect those that enter the door to feel welcome and right at home. We strive to make them feel as if they have been a part of that church for years.
We are a growing church and one that encourages by a saying we have adopted. “Come As You Are And Leave Different!”
I was a police officer for almost 10 years.
Early in my career I was involved in a near fatal auto accident while in duty chasing a fleeing suspect.
Several years down the road I started having some medical complications due to my injuries. I became dependent to opiate based pain medication and lost my career. I found myself living in a homeless shelter exactly one year from the time I lost my career.
I lived there for four and a half months.
I then found myself incarcerated as a result of my addiction. I lived a miserable life for so long and several years later I surrendered to the Lord at a church service.
I have never looked back on my past other than just to use it to glorify the Lord in where He has brought me from by way of His grace and mercy.
I’m here to tell you that God can save any man or woman in the midst of the most vile of situations. We cannot our run His grace or find ourselves so deep in sin that the Lord can’t reach down and embrace us and pull us up and out. He will cleanse us and place a new heart within us and then equip us with the Holy Spirit. He will do all that has been mentioned through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ! When we come to believe and trust in Christ our life has been radically changed by His grace and mercy! Praise God!
