First of all, we have the finest Pianist and Minister of Music in all of Deland! They do amazing things to prepare our hearts and minds for worship. Then Pastor Rick preaches and he does NOT compromise on the scriptures like so many pastors I hear these days! No watered down...

About New Light Church

New Light Church would like to announce their arrival to the beautiful St. Francis Chapel 3395 Grand Ave. DeLand, FL 32720 We begin a time of Praise and Worship at 8:45am on Sundays to prepare our hearts and minds for worship. We are a multi-denominational fellowship (made up of several denominations) and are conservative in our theology. We will have a mix of contemporary and traditional music. Pastor Rick is a retired minister from a major denomination, but God is not finished with him yet. He preaches from the Bible and relates the scriptures with current events in the world and in our individual lives. Come and be a part of our congregation! The St. Francis Chapel is a beautiful facility to worship and learn more about the Christian faith. If there are any questions that we can answer about the church, please do not hesitate to ask. We support our local Neighborhood Center of West Volusia - feeding the hungry in our city; Tunnel-2-Towers - building Smart Homes for our disabled heroes, Folds of Honor - educating the children of our disabled heroes with scholarship programs and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

BELIEFS

We are an independent church with no denominational affiliations, as we minister to a multi-denominational congregation. Our theology is based on the great Wesleyan Armenian traditions. Our Tenants of Faith: We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his death on the cross, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the father, and in his personal return. We believe people receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through a relationship with Jesus.
