Meet The Pastor

Founder and Senior Pastor Bertram D. Hinton, Jr.
Bertram D. Hinton, Jr. is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He is the son of Bertram D. and Angela Hinton, Sr. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Norfolk State University and is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Bethel Temple Faith Church in Concord, NC. Bertram is also member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and is married to the beautiful Nickie Hinton. Together they have one daughter, Kiona and a granddaughter, Sky. Pastor Hinton was raised and trained as a child to love and live for the Lord, thus confirming the Word found in Proverbs 22:6; that if you train up a child in the way he should go; when he is old he will not depart from it. God’s hand has been on his life from his mother’s womb and God has continually shown Himself to be faithful. As Bertram grew and matured spiritually the Lord saw fit for elevation and in the year 2001, he was ordained as a Deacon. After faithfully serving in that capacity the Lord called once again in the year 2007 and Bertram was ordained as an Elder at Full Gospel Deliverance Church of God. After serving as an Elder at Bethel Temple Church in Portsmouth, VA for five years under the tutelage of Apostle Earl Hinton, Sr. God saw fit through his pastor to call him into full time ministry in the office of the Pastorate. Hence, Bethel Temple Faith Church was birthed on September 6, 2015 under the umbrella of the Gethsemane Family of Churches. Pastor Hinton truly loves God with all of his heart and constantly strives towards being the man that God has called him to be. One of his favorite scriptures is found in Proverbs 16:3 which states “Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established.” Pastor Hinton’s prayer is that he will continue to be submissive to the Lord’s will for his life, believing the Word of God found in Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
