About Tabernacle Church
Why the name Tabernacle?: The Old Testament tabernacle in the Bible was a mobile physical dwelling place of God's tangible and manifest presence. In the New Testament, Jesus (God in human flesh) physically tabernacled in the world he made in a visible way John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." There are many churches in the D/FW area, with many different focuses. Our focus is to be a place where anyone who visits with us doesn't just learn doctrine, ideas, or facts about God, but to be a place where people encounter God directly, know God as a Father, Jesus as a real, risen, Savior, and meet with Holy Spirit in a real way. We also feel a calling to be a resource and training center, equipping Christians to represent Jesus and release His love and power in the north Dallas region.
