Meet The Pastor
Michael Schmidt
I am 65 years old, and Judy and I have been married for 43 years.We have 5 children and 19 grandchildren. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I attended Florida College in the Bible Department, and have been preaching for 43 years, mostly in Florida. I began preaching on a regular basis in 1975 and worked in Florida and Illinois. We moved to the Ft Pierce/Port St Lucie area in 1995, and have been with the Savona Blvd church for 22 years. In 2004 I was appointed an elder here. We now provide a home for 6 of our grandchildren.
My main focus as a preacher has been on personal evangelism, evidences, teaching on the home and family, working with young people, and encouraging daily Bible reading.
I am also a licensed exhibition poultry judge and Superintendent of the Florida State Fair Poultry Show, as well as enjoying saltwater fishing.
