About River of God Church
River of God is a vibrant spirit filled and spirit led congregation. We believe that as it says in Psalm 46:4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God. We want to live in that river of God's spirit, that wherever the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Freedom from bondage, freedom from the hurts, wounds and abuses of ones past. We seek to be a conduit of God's healing and restoration in this community and beyond. We are a 5 fold ministry church (see Ephesians 4). That as we become who we are in Christ, and start to do what He has called us to do, we will have what it says in Ephesians 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.
Our services last about as long as a Green Bay Packers game, and have much greater lasting value from an eternal perspective. We start with a greeting, do some announcements, and have a time of testimonies of what God is doing in the lives of ppl in the River. Then we segue into praise and worship, usually 30-45 minutes, and then proceed to have the pastor or one of the elders bring the Word of the Lord to the congregation.

WHAT IS LIFE ENRICHMENT?
The ministry is a way by which we can apply the Word of God to problem areas in our lives. (see Hebrews 4:12)
Our purpose is not to counsel, but to identify hurts, wounds and bruises and apply the principles of God's Word by the power of the Holy Spirit in such a way that it brings spiritual wholeness. We are there for one reason only, to bless in whatever way we can, in the name of Jesus. In life enrichment we deal with a candidate's whole life in 4 basic areas:
1.) Hurts and wounds caused by their sins (before and after salvation)
2.) Hurts and wounds caused by the sins of others (forgiveness)
3.) Hurts and wounds caused by the sins of our ancestors
4.) Hurts and wounds caused by spiritual warfare (deliverance)
The main purpose behind this is to disarm the enemy through exposing the root problems of bondage
and dealing with the systematic using of the Word of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. A person in bondage is not liberated by what we do as leaders of the session, but what they do with our help.
It is not what we believe that breaks the bonds. It is what they believe, confess, renounce and forgive.
