Meet The Pastor

Pastor Wayne Putman and his wife Pat Putman
Wayne Putman is in his first year as the pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene. He is a Dallas native (born and raised in Oak Cliff and a graduate of Sunset High School). He attended Baylor University and graduated from Dallas Baptist University. He did his graduate work at Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Pat, raised their three children in Ovilla. Their children (all married with amazing spouses) have given them nine grandchildren (they’re the best!) Wayne loves encouraging and supporting people in their pursuit of God. He also enjoys helping people understand how practical and useful the Bible is in everyday life. He has a unique way of communicating with children, teens, and adults of all ages. He says “it’s a sin to bore people with the truth about God!” Wayne and Pat love spending time with their family (especially those grandkids!). They enjoy being with people, but also like a day to themselves once in a while. They like to eat out (especially Mexican food!). Wayne believes pursuing a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, with other like-minded people is the only way to live life. We are created for authentic relationships – with God and with each other.
