Meet The Pastor

Pastor Marianne Cotter
‘To love God with all your heart soul mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.’  Jesus said this is the essence of faith. We are a welcoming, supportive community of people who gather weekly to worship God revealed in Jesus Christ, made known to us by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Each Sunday, we praise God in word and song, experience Christian community and are nurtured in the faith. Then, we can go out into the world and try to live the motto that hangs in our fellowship hall: “Do All the Good You Can.” This is the second of three ‘simple rules’ that United Methodists seek to live by. “Do no harm, do all the good you can and stay in love with God” are an updated version of the principles that guided the early Methodists. These ‘simple rules’ guide us as we seek to grow in faith our whole lives long. The mission of our global United Methodist Church is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Our mission as a congregation is ‘Helping people ‘Say Yes’ to God. Sunday worship, Sunday school for all ages, Wednesday night SPIRIT night meal and activities for children and youth, choirs, small groups, and mission opportunities are all practical ways we ‘help people say “yes” to God.’ I welcome you to visit our church. We have been in Baraboo encouraging people to love God and their neighbor for over one hundred and seventy five years.  God is not done with any of us yet!  Will you be part of our future going forward? Grace and peace. Pastor Marianne Cotter
