Meet The Pastor
Pastor Ross Middleton
Ross Middleton and his wife Amy met in college at Florida State University where Ross graduated with a degree in Music, which he is currently not using very much, much to his mom’s dismay. Amy graduated with a degree in International Affairs which is kind of a fancy way of saying, an interdisciplinary degree.
Ross is from Panama City Beach, FL, also known by some as “The Redneck Riviera” or L.A. (Lower Alabama) which is located in the panhandle. Amazingly enough he escaped without any accent whatsoever, with the exception of the occasional usage of the great southern word, ya’ll. Amy is from Palm Harbor, FL, a suburb of the Tampa Bay area. She went to a high school where the mascot was a Sponger. Unfortunately her high school used to chant, “Soak em up Spongers” at the opposition. Intimidating.
They served in college ministry with Every Nation Campus Ministries at Florida State University and later as the Campus Pastors for Every Nation Tallahassee Church for six and a half years. After that they spent a year up in Washington D.C. at National Community Church under the leadership of Mark Batterson where Ross served as the pastor of one of NCC’s Multi-Site Locations on Capitol Hill. They have recently relocated to South Florida and are now excited to call Miami home!
Ross and Amy have three boys. Their boys have so much energy, if it was bottled, would make their parents millions of dollars. One of their main goals in life is to keep their house from smelling like a locker room
And yes, we know that Florida State and the University of Miami are rivals. We have committed to cheering for the Canes as long as they aren’t playing the Noles, just in case you care.
