Our Mission
REST, LIVE, WORK in a Great House!
OUR MISSION / VALUES / VISION
MISSION - The House is a church that exists to, Invite People In, Call Prodigals Home, and Adopt the Spiritually Homeless.
VALUES - We are a life-giving church that believes no one should be left out.
We are a church that partners with other churches in the Quad Cities.
And we are a church that will plant more life-giving churches, so that everyone has the opportunity to Rest, Live, and Work in a great house.
VISION - We want to see a massive shift from spiritual homelessness, to a strong, undeniable sense of spiritual family in Rock Island and the Quad Cities!

BELIEFS
BELIEFS
Our approach to beliefs, theology, and doctrine are summed up well by the 17th century theologian Rupertus Meldenius:
"In essentials Unity, in non-essentials Liberty, in all things Charity."
We stand on the Nicene Creed as common doctrinal ground embraced by the global church, guiding us to focus on what is central while avoiding quarrels over disputable matters (Romans 14).
We believe the Bible is the inspired story of a perfect God written by imperfect people (2 Timothy 3:14-16), and The Wesleyan Quatrilateral offers an example of how the scriptures, tradition, reason, and experience all shape how we can follow Jesus.
We welcome all persons and have no leadership limits based on race, gender, sexual identity and orientation, or physical ability, for those who confess Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 10:9).
