About Empowerment Christian Ministries
Mission Statement
The mission of Empowerment Christian Ministries is to Empower, Evangelize, Equip, Encourage, Transform and set forth believers for God’s Purpose.
Vision Statement
The vision of Empowerment Christian Ministries is to utilize God’s word to empower and transform lives in order to fulfill God’s purpose; while meeting the needs of the total man-spiritually, socially, educationally, and economically.
Core Values
Empowering, Equipping and Transforming the Total Man
Scripture Reference: Daniel 11: 32b, “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
The leadership of ECM is passionately committed to:
• 1. Worship
We seek to enter into and experience the very presence of God, both corporately and individually, and to develop deeper intimacy with Him. (John 4:24);
• 2. Word of God
We intend to teach it, believe it, and obey it without apology or compromise.
• 3. Prayer
We believe that prayer is central to the release of the life and power of God in individual lives, families, and our congregation. “No prayer, no power; little prayer, little power; much prayer, much power.”
• 4. Community/Fellowship
We are committed to making it possible for every attendee of ECM to be in meaningful and intimate relationships with other believers through Empowerment Groups or other small groups.
• 5. Family
We believe that healthy marriages and families are the cornerstone of a healthy society, and that strong, loving masculine leadership is the key to a healthy family and a healthy church.
• 6. Empowering and Equipping the saints for the work of ministry
We believe that every Christian is called to be a minister, that the Holy Spirit has granted them spiritual gifts for that purpose, and that the role of the pastoral staff in particular is to empower and equip them to use their gifts effectively.
• 7. Unity in the body of Christ
We are committed to affirming, celebrating, experiencing, and expressing the fundamental unity of all life-giving, Christ-centered churches.
• 8. Public stand for righteousness
We believe in taking a stand in the public arena when issues of righteousness are at stake.

BELIEFS
WE BELIEVE:
A. In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
B. In one God eternally existing in three persons: namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
C. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
D. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
E. That justification regeneration and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
F. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
G. Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
H. In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
I. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost
J. In water baptism by immersion and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
K. Divine healing is provided for all in the Atonement,
L. In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
M. In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
N. In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
