Meet The Pastor
Sr. Pastor Marcus Ellington
Pastor Marcus Ellington currently serves as the Sr. Pastor of Lighthouse Church in San Clemente, CA. Installed on January 15th 2011, Marcus believe that Lighthouse his more than just a group of people meeting weekly, but instead, a strategic move of God, for such a time as this. Pastor Marcus most recently served the Foursquare Church as the Southwest District NextGen Coordinator. With nearly 175 churches in the Southwest District, the NextGen ministry focuses on pastors and leaders that oversee an entire generation, from cradle to college. Marcus’ passion for the next generation is apparent, as shown in his faithful service to the youth ministry at The Rock Church in Anaheim, California. Marcus served faithfully as a Service Leader in the youth group of over 350 youth and also oversaw the implementation of youth discipleship classes that have graduated more than 150 students. Marcus is an inspiring teacher of the Word who believes that people today are hungry for a sincere and genuine faith that comes from hearing the Word of God in a way that they can understand and apply in their everyday lives.
Both Marcus and his wife, Starr, are passionate about seeing people live their “Real Lives”, the life God prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10). Marcus met Starr in Great Falls, MT, while serving in the United States Air Force. Marcus and Starr currently live in San Clemente, California, attend Vanguard University and have been married since January 14, 2006. They have a wonderful son, Joshua Ellington, who brings them continual joy and reasons to smile daily.
