About Jericho Bridge Church
At Jericho Bridge Church, we understand the times. In increasing intensity, churches are irrelevant and Christians are invisible. The traditions of "doing church" hold no value to those struggling with the cares of the world. God Himself is distant at best, non-existent at worst. And by association, Christians are out-of-touch with the pulse of the community. So, the prevailing thought is to "keep those church people at arms-length, and let us get on with our lives."
JBC gets it. How can one possibly understand the passions, the loves, the loneliness, the needs, of the community if he or she hides inside the church building hoping a visitor walks in? That's not how relationships are built; that's not how trust is earned. Jericho Bridge does not "do church"; we ARE the Church. Just as Jesus Christ walked among the people, was moved by their calls for help, and met those needs through practical and spiritual means, our purpose - why we exist - is to help bridge the gaps in people's lives. We connect. We build bridges. We foster and develop relationships between people and Jesus, between people in the church and those not in a church, between generations, between communities, and even between churches. Our passion is to come alongside people in our community, serve with them in their passions. Only through the building of relationship bridges will we in the church be able to show Christ's love for all.
So. Watch for us! We'll be out and about in the community... tending the gardens, working the trails, cleaning up the beaches, setting the orchestra chairs and risers in place, and... just helping.
Our Vision (How we see JBC looking 10 years from now…)
- We will have impacted the Mukilteo area in practical and spiritual ways
- We will be woven into the community and recognized as “relevant”
- We will have vibrant ministries, for all ages

MINISTRIES AND GROUPS
Church Ministries
Small Groups
Every Christian is a "work in progress". We ALL have gifts and talents given to us by God, and He desires that we train and mature in those gifts. Jericho Bridge Church is a training church: we all are practicing... learning and doing. Recognizing that we all have a heart to learn and a desire to grow, we have a grace to give room for the mistakes as well as the successes. No one at JBC should ever feel put down for doing their best to grow in God. Once you are knitted-in to the Jericho Bridge family, we will do our best to provide opportunities to learn and to do the work of the ministry.
Everything we do is to develop and build relationship, so everything we do is open to the community. Here are some examples of the organizations we serve, and how we with connect and build bridges:
- Mukilteo Foodbank
- Mukilteo Community Orchestra
- Fresh Start Housing
- Japanese Gulch Group
- Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival
- Mukilteo Historical Society
- Gingerbread house-making for families
- Game nights for adults
- Hikes
- Bird-Talk
BELIEFS
1. There is one God who is three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1; Dt 4:35, 6:4, 32:39; 2 Sam 7:22; I Ch 17:20; Ps 83:18; Isa 43:10, 44:6, 45:18; Mt 28:19; Mk 12:29; Jn 14:16-17, 26; 2 Co 13:14; 1 Pe 1:2)
2. God is the source of all creation, visible and invisible. Only the three persons of God existed in eternity past. (Gen 1:1-2, 31; Pr 8:22-23; Jn 1:1-3, 10, 17:5; Ro 1:20, 11:36; 1 Co 8:6, 11:12; Col 1:15-18; Heb 2:10; Rev 1:8)
3. The Bible in its original text is wholly true in every detail. It is the standard and guide for all doctrine and behavior. (Dt 4:2, 12:32; Pr 6:23; Isa 55:11; Mt 5:18; Lk 21:33; Eph 6:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Heb 4:12; 2 Pe 1:21; Rev 19:13, 22:18-19)
4. Death in all its forms, natural, psychological, and spiritual, entered the world as a result of the disobedience of the first two people. (Gen 3; Hos 6:7; Ro 5:12-14; 1 Co 15:22,48)
5. All people are born with sin nature and although they may want to be good, none can attain salvation and right-standing with God by his or her own good works. (Gen 6:5, 8:21; Ro 3:10, 6:23, 7:18-19; Eph 2:8-9; Gal 5:24)
6. Jesus Christ, who is God, became a man, never sinned, and took the just punishment for all sin when He died on the cross. He rose from the dead, becoming the only hope of salvation for every person. (Mk 6:50; Jn 1:1, 3:16, 8:58, 14:6,10; Ac 2:36, 4:12; Ro 3:22-24, 5:1; 2 Co 5:17; Php 2:5-11; Heb 5:9, 7:25, 9:22; 1 Pe 1:3-5; 1 Jn 1:8-10, 2:1-2)
7. Every person will stand before God for judgment. Those who have not received Jesus Christ as the payment for their sin will be judged for that sin and will be sent to eternal punishment. Those who know Jesus will have their deeds judged and will receive rewards accordingly. (Ps 96:13; Ecc 12:14; Isa 66:16,24; Jer 25:31; Mt 25:31-34,41,46; Mk 9:48, 16:16; 1 Co 15:50-56; 2 Co 5:10; 2 Th 1:7-10; Heb 9:27; 2 Pe 3:7; 1 Jn 4:17, Jude 14:15; Rev 14:7, 20:15, 22:12)
8. The Holy Spirit lives inside every believer in Jesus Christ. He gives power to live the life of Christ while we are still in mortal bodies. He also gives power to be a witness for Christ and do the miraculous works of God as experienced by first century believers. (Mk 1:8; Lk 11:13; Jn 14:16-18,26, 16:7-15, 20:21-22; Ac 1:4-5,8, 2:4, 2:38-39, 19:1-7; 1 Co 2:13; Gal 5:16-18,22-25; Eph 4:30)
9. Jesus is coming a second time for His Bride composed of all believers in Him. (Mt 24:27-30, 26:64; Lk 17:24; Ac 1:11; 1 Th 4:14-16; 1 Jn 3:2; Rev 1:7, 21:2,9-10,22:7,12,17)
10. Knowing God and making Him known is the goal and privilege of every believer in Christ. (Ps 145:10-12; Mt 24:14, 28:18-20; Mk 16:15; Jn 4:25-30,39-42, 17:3,25-26; 1 Co 8:2; 13:12; 2 Co 5:11,20; Eph 1:17; Php 3:8,10; Col 2:2; 1 Jn 2:4, Rev 12:11)
11. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other, and that no intimate sexual activity be engaged-in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. Children are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. All human life is sacred and begins at conception (defined as the moment of fertilization). The unborn child is a living human being, created in the image of God, and must be respected and protected both before and after birth. (Gen 1:26-28; 2:15-25; 3:1-20; Ex 20:12; Deut 6:4-9; Josh 24:15; 1 Sam 1:26-28; Psa 51:5; 78:1-8; 127; 128; 139:13-16; Prov 1:8; 5:15-20; 6:20-22; 12:4; 13:24; 14:1; 17:6; 18:22; 22:6,15; 23:13-14; 24:3; 29:15,17; 31:10-31; Eccl 4:9-12; 9:9; Mal 2:14-16; Matt 5:31-32; 18:2-5; 19:3-9; Mark 10:6-12; Rom 1:18-32; 1 Cor 7:1-16; Eph 5:21-33; 6:1-4; Col 3:18-21; 1 Tim 5:8,14; 2 Tim 1:3-5; Titus 2:3-5; Heb 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-7)
