Meet The Pastor

Pastor Rev. Paulette Mixon Weller
Prior to Plymouth Presbyterian Church, I was Associate Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian in Portland. I was responsible for adult education, overseeing the children’s ministry program, new member outreach, and staffing the board of Deacons. Prior to that, I was the solo pastor of a church of just under 100 members. I served for almost eight years at Colonial Heights Presbyterian in Portland. Prior to that, I graduated from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and later received my Doctor of Ministry from George Fox University in 2010. Recently I have been teaching as an adjunct instructor at the University of Portland, which I plan to continue doing while also serving as your pastor. I was born in Minneapolis, MN, and grew up in Iowa. My wife Nancy was born just outside of Boston, but all of her family now live in the Portland area. So we now consider Portland to be our home. We love skiing on Mt. Hood, and kayaking. I play a little jazz saxophone, and am glad many of you have a love of music. Our cats, George and Zora probably think of us as their servants, but we enjoy their mysterious ways.
