Our Mission
We believe in the triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
As Methodists, we do not believe we are totally depraved, but recognize we are born in bondage to original sin. But, to each is given a measure of faith. Through this measure of faith, we are wooed by the holy spirit to accept our deliverance from original sin, a deliverance purchased on the cross by our savior Jesus Christ.

United Methodist Women Meet on the Third Tuesday of the Month in Fellowship Hall at 6 PM. We support the two main missions of our church financially and physically. We enjoy the fellowship of being together. Our Christmas Party, which is on the first Saturday in December, is a really fun time with prizes, games, gifts and lots of good eats. The party is for all of the ladies in our church. Our meetings include business and devotion. Occasionally we have fund raisers. We have created and sold cookbooks; had bake sales, sold Rada knife products etc. All ladies of the church are encouraged to participate.
The M.L. Tootle Mission at Gateway United Methodist Church, part of the ‘Why Hunger database’ is a community mission center whose aim it is to care for those in need. The mission provides food and clothing to those who call on them. Members of the community and of the church donate food, clothes, toys, home goods and other items to the mission for free distribution to people who stop by. The children of the church give an offering every Sunday called “Pennies from Heaven.”
BELIEFS
We believe the journey toward oneness with our Creator includes an inward spiritual discipline, based upon the Word, and an outward journey of acts of kindness, mercy and justice.
We believe that Scripture is the authoritative Word of God in matters of faith, the confession that our justification as sinners is by grace through faith, and the sober realization that we are in need of continual reformation and renewal.
We believe the journey toward oneness with our Creator includes an inward spiritual discipline, based upon the Word, and an outward journey of acts of kindness, mercy and justice.
