BELIEFS
Columbus Avenue believes that God as the Creator and sustainer of the universe has chosen to show his love and connection to man by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to show man what God is like. Although man has rebelled against God and chosen to live a life away from God, Christ chose to die and undeserved death in payment for the rebellion of man so God could re-establish the relationship he desires. We can choose to accept Christ's sacrifice. God raised Christ from the dead as a statement of his power over death and offers us eternal life for those who put their trust in him. As Christians, believers in and followers of Christ, we show our gratitude to God by living a life that is devoted to His standards, His desires, and His mission. We are able to do this only as we allow God to guide and strengthen our lives. Part of this mission is to communicate to the world God's love for them, and to help those who are struggling in life to find peace and security.
