About Saint James Evangelical Congregational Church
St. James Church is a part of the Evangelical Congregational Church, a conservative Protestant denomination with Wesleyan roots. The goal of the ECC is "to know Christ and to make Him known." We want visitors to feel that they are part of our family. We'll welcome you with a smile and a cup of coffee before the morning service. We're very much like a "little country church" with a traditional worship style. We'll offer you the Good News of Jesus Christ, and we'll proclaim the Kingdom of God as the Bible reveals it.

BELIEFS
We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God; and that men and women are saved through faith in Christ alone. We accept the doctrine of Christian perfection, by which we mean not that men and women are capable of living sinless lives on Earth but rather that God's love may be perfected in our hearts here and now. We believe that the atoning death of Christ is for all men and women and that God offers salvation to all men and women everywhere. We believe that God's people mature best when they are part of a local body.
