Cumberland Presbyterian Church
Cumberland Presbyterian Church was formed during the Second Great Awakening that swept the country in the early 1800s. It separated from the Presbyterian Church (USA) over revival issues and continued to grow as the country grew. The church has a socially progressive tradition and was among the first denomination to allow women in all levels of leadership, including ordained clergy.
