This church and its pastor and its people are very real, sincere, genuine. This church has experienced what happened to the first century church, namely Pentocost, the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, not just initially but made available to every person who acknowledges that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, and that Jesus is the only way to the Father, and realizes, confesses, and repents from their sin, and asks the Father and the Son to forgive them, and makes the decision to obey the Lord and Lord of their lives. He comes in by His Holy Spirit when a person ask Him to be their Savior and Come in. So back to the Mt. Hope First Assembly of God, it is Pastors Appreciation Month and we just had a Pastor's Appreciation Day where we rallied around Pastor and showed him our appreciation to a man who has been saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and in ministry 40 years. He is a well seasoned man, husband, father, grandfather, but most of all pastor, a true shepherd of the sheep. He cares and is concerned about our welfare in all areas of our lives. He is great example to the people because the members in particular are Lovers of God and People like he is. He is a true asset, because of God, to God, his family, his parisheners, and two the Mt. Hope and Fayette County community. I would encourage everyone who loves God and knows they need God to come be with us. You will be changed, never be the same, and walk out a different person if you let the Lord have His way with you. If you don't understand something, please ask and we will be glad to tell you to help you understand better so you can experience the same Holy Spirit of the Living God who lives within us. Just know, we are not perfect, just forgiven and we are striving to be the best we can be. Sometimes, we get in the sinful flesh and make mistakes. So yes, we alsoneed to confess our sin not only to God but to those we have offended, and make it right. So come join us. Come and see what the Lord is doing in His Kingdom.
