First of all, a disclaimer: I have been a member of this church since age ten years, so I have to admit that bias. Also, I have attended this church for 28 of my 48 years, including presently. The title of this review is "best of all worlds" because unlike many places, we still have a thriving traditional service that captures as many worshipers as our contemporary service. That means there is a full pipe organ with traditional hymns and a 30-plus member choir. If you are looking for a place where you can sing with people who are passionate about worshiping with their voices, please come and see! The contemporary worship team is blessed to have our very own Pastor Mark Bankson as one of its members/leaders. We are a member of the LCMC (Lutheran Churches in Mission for Christ), and I encourage you to look at their website to get a better idea of what that means. Yes, we believe in the authority of scripture. But more than anything I want to emphasize that at Our Saviour's in Stanwood, we don't just preach Grace, we live it. I don't know of any other place where the scandal of how much God was willing to do for us so completely overcomes our own "scandals". Everyone is welcome here.
