My wife and I attended here for ten years - each of us serving as Deacon and Elder respectively for 6 years. There are still some truly wonderful people at IPC, but weekly attendance fell by 70% during the 8 years prior to Covid and then half again since. As the congregation dwindled, Pastor James' controlling nature has driven many leaders to nearby congregations. And integrity is a problem - with the pastor bearing false witness and sharing personal information while an Elder filed a false report of sale to the state in recent years. I was asked to leave the congregation after elevating concerns in writing. Mature Christians with strong leadership skills are needed to restore IPC's congregational health and role in the neighborhood and larger community.
