My mom was a member of this church for many years. She passed away last October and I reached out to Pastor Marc to pray over my mom before she died. During that conversation, I got an hour-long lecture about why people shouldn’t get vaccinated, which I thought was pretty inappropriate given my mom was dying because she hadn’t been vaccinated. After that call my mom passed away the Pastor never reached out once during those three weeks. Even though I posted her obit in the papers, all of them, and online, no one from the church showed up for my mom’s service. After going through all of my mom’s paperwork I found several tax-deductible forms sent from this church stating the large donations my mom give to this church totaling over $10,000 in the last few years. She had sold her house and they told her God said she had to tithe 10% of her earnings. My mom was elderly on a fixed income and had a house in desperate need of repairs, but she still have and supported this church. After receiving this information, I reached out to Pastor Marc to see if he would help me with my mom's funeral expenses since she had no money in the bank and no life insurance given her generosity. The church followed up with a cold, business letter that said it wasn’t sustainable for them to help me with my mom’s expenses. Not even a dime. No card, no flowers not even I’m sorry you lost your mom. This is shameful. I can’t help feeling my mom was used, taken advantage of, and then disposed of and immediately forgotten. I wouldn’t recommend this church to my worst enemy.
