Meet The Pastor
Pastor Andrew Wheelis
As the son of a pastor and the grandson of a pastor and missionary, Andrew was often asked if he would follow in those footsteps. His answer was always that his only plan was “to not be swallowed by any whales.” So when the call to ministry came, he answered. Over the years he has served in a variety of roles from building and grounds, A/V ministry, Church moderator, Bible study teacher and many others.
Now serving in his first pastorate as the new pastor of Northside Baptist Church, Andrew has a drive to connect the church to its local community and spread the good news of the Gospel to all that will listen.
As a husband, father, and bi-vocational pastor, free time is hard to come by. When the opportunity presents itself though, Andrew loves being in the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, landscaping, and taking motorcycle rides.
