My husband and I wanted to try different churches to find the right one for us after our move. Millville Avenue Church of God was a very welcoming church. They were not aggressive, but comforting as one after another of the congregation said their brief hello. The music was good and I felt His presence as I sang and prayed. The minister gave an inspiring, uncompromising sermon. This is not a pentacostal church (not that pentacostal churches are bad at all) but I'm new to "Church of God". The literature I was given is that they're a Bible-based church. They believe in God and Jesus. As far as I could see, and maybe I'm missing it, there was no denomination noted. It did remind me of a Hamilton Baptist church - a little more laid back (ie. Casual dress). Loved this Church!
