I attended this church for a number of years back in the early to mid 2000's. I experienced severe pychological abuse at the hands of the former and current "pastor." I was constantly told I was prideful, originally stemming from incorrectly sending a text to Gary Cote asking about a church event meant for a different churhc's pastor. His response was, "So you are calling another man pastor now." From that point on I was told I was prideful and not doing enough, which caused me to develop OCD trying to cram spiritual disciplines in to please Gary. Eventually I was told by the current "pastor" Adam I should beg on my hands and knees to Gary for forgiveness. It took years of therapy to get to a good place. Additionally, this and far worse stories were presented to the leadership of the Northern New England District of the Assemblies of God. The current superindtendent Dan Abattello told a room of around 20 hurting victims he would not open an investigation. This review is not simply a begrudged former attender lashing out, but a plea for anyone considering attending to stay away for the sake of your wellbeing. It is also a plea for justice from those who have a responsibility to care for the weak like Dan Abatello.
