OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH LC-MS is full of loving caring people. We came to this church about five years ago after a terrible experience in another local church. From the day we came here we have not ever been disappointed. At the time our nuclear family was my wife and myself, our nine year old daughter, and our seven year old son. The church we left was of the same denomination I grew up in so it was very hard to leave it wanting my children to grow up in the faith that I had grown up in. I always though of the LC-MS (Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod) as a very disciplined church and I was concerned my children would find the change from Methodist to LC-MS difficult. Boy was I wrong! The children love the teaching staff and have commented over and over how they love learning about Jesus and the Bible as opposed to just story time and crafts. They are both now in confirmation and our daughter loves bringing her friends to church and church activities. Our son is a straight shooter and loves that his questions at church come right from God’s word and not from theologian after theologian. Even though we had only been attending Our Saviors Lutheran Church LC-MS for about a year before a forth of Minot was destroyed by a flood the people gave to us generously financially and many people, including about four synod pastors cane to our home to help evacuate or renovate. In our most recent disaster the Senior Pastor came to my aid in the emergency room to comfort my wife and I over my heart attach. Our pastoral staff includes Senior Pastor Reverend Paul Krueger, Assistant Pastor Reverend Daniel Voth, and Assistant Pastor Reverend Andrew Busch. Each one of these pastors are absolutely amazing! Pastor Krueger (PK) is a master organizer, knows the word of God better than any man I’ve ever met, and is a “Mad Guitarist”. His love for God and music is so evident in the our worship. His appeal and his great musical blessing has brought many fantastic artists to our church. Pastor Dan also knows the word as well as most accomplished theologians and always delivers relevant sermans. He and his wife are fantastic with the kids and show genuine concern and care for all they meet. Pastor Dan is a unique individual who prefers to be shoeless, use a “stand up” type of desk, and has an infectious laugh. Pastor Andy also knows the word and won’t be lead astray by vain (fad) teachings. Like PK he is a good musician and he is an excellent teacher. I believe he had/has a drama major and puts it to good use when he is in the pulpit. The church is so much more than it’s pastors but I think ANY church would do well to dream of having just one of our pastors, but we have ALL THREE. If you are looking for a church in Minot ND I hope you will consider visiting Our Savior Lutheran Church LC-MS. I believe we are around five hundred members (many like my family have come from other denominations), we have three worship services on Sunday (8:15AM - traditional service, and 9:30 and 11:00 - contemporary service). If you want to hear a church band that can actually blow the doors off, a band with a “mad guitarist” that could have played with Prince, Led Zeppelin, or George Thorogood you want to come to one of the later two service.
