Small Church - Big Message!

Our family has had two very sweet visits to City of Oaks Bible Fellowship in Youngsville, NC and we are looking forward to more. The worship was simple and sincere, with two very sweet ladies up front singing and leading the rest of the small congregation. I think it seats around 80 people total (give or take). There were no instruments other than a tambourine and maracas, even so, the worship was so genuine and touching. Pastor Jerry Kinard asked if anyone wanted to share what the Lord was doing in their life before he preached. I really like this because it gave everyone in the church an opportunity to give God the glory for the good things going on, and made us feel like we got to the know the people a little better. He also asked if anyone had a prayer request. Several people did and a prayer was said. There was no pressure to speak, but I felt comfortable enough to do so because everyone was so nice. Then he preached an AWESOME message! We have been twice and both times we were all blown away by how welcome we felt and how blessed we were by the whole experience. We are looking forward to going back again next Sunday. If you’re looking for a big, concert-style worship show, complete with instruments, bells, whistles, and child care - you won’t find it here. However, if you're looking for a back-to-the-basics church, with sincere worship, friendly people and excellent preaching, this might be the place for you!
