I attended this congregation for many years. About the time I began attending, which was about 10 years ago, they had a major shakeup and became a branch of Firsy Christian Church in Kernersville, NC. When that happened, the congregation's name was changed to First Christian Church of High Point. As of right now they have nearly completely renovated the auditorium and lobby and have a minister, a youth minister, and a children's minister. Once they were financially back on their feet, they became independent of the Kernersville church again but kept the name as First Christian. They are part of the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement and teach baptism for the remission of sins.
