Meet The Pastor
Welcome to Redemption Church! My name is Blake Hickman and I have the privilege of serving as lead pastor here.
My wife Amber and I have been married for 18 years and we have 5 boys, Asher, Caleb, Nate, Judah and Maddox. I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL, and met Amber while we both were attending college at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Upon graduation from Liberty, we moved to Raleigh, NC so I could attend seminary. Shortly thereafter, I joined the staff at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh to work with middle school students. After 14 years at Providence serving with students and young families, Amber and I felt a call to leave Providence and plant Redemption Church. We have a passion to tell the story of redemption to the fast growing population of individuals in Western Wake County, many of whom have never heard this story.
