In 1987, I was living in the Jefferson Apartments. A single mother of a new born child. I looked for a church in town to attend. I was walking with my son in his stroller. I went to your church. Whoever that man was he said to me, "Can you pay to attend this church?" I told him I couldn't. He said, "Your kind is not welcome here." I left and never went back. Though the years, I often thought to myself, was that because I was poor? I was quiet naive in the day. About 20 years later, I drove by your church. It just doesn't have the same appeal. I don't disagree with the man who told me I didn't belong, but today, I will say I will not disagree with him, I didn't belong there. Today, I am truly blessed with 3 Grandsons and a successful retirement, all thanks to GOD Almighty. I'm glad I never attended your church. I hope you all are not still turning away the poor, it's not very Godly to cast judgement. I will pray for that man and for your church members. That day, he represented the worst of humanity. In today's news you hear about people like that all too often. I pray for guidance for your church and hope that man didn't influence the rest of the Church staff......
