We felt welcome as like being members of a family right from the start 8 years ago. It would be very surprising if a first time visitor attended a service without being personally greeted by a church member or staff. The Pastoral staff is exceptional at consistently delivering sermons highlighting God’s Grace. We are all sinners and they are nonjudgmental and are encouraging to all with the message of Jesus dying and being raised for us with the promise of salvation which cannot be earned but is freely given by believing in Him. We enjoy the mix of both traditional and contemporary style of worship. Also, it is very encouraging to see the large number of children attending which is indicative of a healthy church. Redeemer has a large percentage of participation of members contributing to church functions meaning not just a few do all the work. I have elected to be involved in Outreach, small group meetings, leading Sunday small group bible studies and the annual Rochester Servant Event. Redeemer offers many opportunities to serve depending on your desire to get involved. If you are searching for a new or different spiritual setting I encourage all to attend a service or inquire about joining a small group meeting. Redeemer also welcomes all to enroll their children in Sunday School classes even if not being members. I wish anyone who attends finds it as warm and welcoming as our family is experiencing.
