I am an Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest of the Diocese of Chicago and visited the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in the Waipio area and was delighted in what I found. Though I am from a different jurisdiction, I found loving acceptance and wisdom from their pastor and bishop, His Grace Mar John. Now in his senior years his is bright and full of spirit. His knowledge of Church history and theology is masterful. His celebration of liturgy is solemn and graceful, filled with spiritual presences. I highly recommend this church to those searching for an authentic Christian tradition with a very fatherly and wise pastor.
