The Greatest Church I've Ever Known

I grew up in this church, was a member since I was 12. Was baptized there, did BoyScouts there, became a young adult there, went into the Navy there, got married there, became a Deacon there, the Secretary of Deacons there, a grounds maintenance man, janitor, children's SS teacher, RA leader, Youth worker, Decoration committee, did it all, then the Lord asked me to get on my knees in front of him, and he asked me to be willing to give up something for him, and I asked, "You want me to give this up for you?", He asked me, "Will you give this up for me?" I said, "Lord, asking me a question doesn't answer my question. I need to know if this is what you want me to do. Are you asking me to g]ve this up for you?" He asked, again, "Will you give this up for me?" I said, "Lord, I need to know specifically, not generally, not beating around the bush, skirting the issue, for sure, no doubt, are you asking me to give this up for you?" No new answer, only the same old question, "Will you give this up for me?" I said, "Lord, this thing I now give up for you, I ask you to hold it in your heart, for it is, was, so dear to me. So dear to me, that when I give it up for you, to you, I'm left with a giant hole in my heart. What can I have to take the place of this loss, what can I have to fill my heart?" His answer took all my theology, and flushed it straight down the toilet, "How about Me?" This happened because of what Riverside Baptist Church is. Take a look there, and see.
