Antiquated and Unfriendly

This is very small congregation with the average age over 70. Currently they are without a pastor and there are no children or young families. If you like a more rigid religious experience that is like stepping back into the 50's then this may be the congregation for you. Order of service is very traditional and hymns are sung in a dirge-like fashion. If you like a more friendly group of people, you will feel very out of place as these folks seem very closed and and self-absorbed. My husband and I visited a couple of times to try and give them a fair chance to see if we would fit in or anyone would reach out to newcomers, but decided in the end it was not the place for us. We also found it humorous that a piece of artificial grass covered the organ? The kind of place that could be featured on a sitcom.
