Body of Christ Church

A biblically responsive church with great historical teachings. A body of Christ Church. They do need a better attitude toward the homeless and poor. Majority of congregation are lovely people, but the attitude, especially in the elders and a few of the older members, towards the homeless needs A LOT OF CHANGE. unfortunately we, as humans, forget our "beliefs" as handed down by God. There IS NO DIFFERENCE between homeless sinners and church going sinners, except the church going sinners SHOULD know better than to pass judgement on NON-Christians, as the Bible tells us. Not all homeless are thieves and cheaters. If they were then that would be normal for someone without God, but a "Christian" is NEVER to judge a non-Christian. That is God's word and not my opinion. They mean well, but I personally have faced some horrible attitudes. I am a SInner PERIOD! As ARE ALL HUMANS. I believe the leadership, for the most part, truly care and ARE following Biblical truth, but as is the case with ALL Christians in the American churches there are those who forget to look beyond thier religiosiy. Overall a good church. Up there with Calvary Chapel, basically. They do help with food cards for their congregants who need them. There are a lot of people who believe the church is suppose to help anyone anytime with their resources, but that is not what scripture tells us. The majority of resources should go to the Brothers and Sisters within the Church Body (World Wide, not just local). There is a bit too much politicking for my taste, like most American Churches. If we were honest with ourselves we would know that we are neither Democrat or Republican. Those are worldly government concepts NOT God's. If anything you ARE a monarchist waiting for your kingdom to come (REMEMBER?). Having a conservative nature IS Good, but it doesn't make you a Republican. Having a Liberal nature doesn't make you a Democrat. Jesus had both tendencies. These worldly mentalities are crushing our Spiritual Growth. People preaching politics from the pulpit is, in my opinion, a very un-Godly way to serve ALL of Gods people. It is a sure way to run people out of your church if your doing it so don't. For the most part you will not hear that anymore at this church. Growth NOT perfection.
