United Church of Canada

In 1925 the merger of four denominations, Congregationalist, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Local Union Churches, provided the framework for what would become the largest Protestant church in Canada. It has a congregational style of government with leadership given by a General Council. The church policies are inclusive and liberal.
